Packing services are mostly done with lady packing crews for that extra attention to detail. We use a staging area and pack on top of boxes rather than on your furniture to prevent scratching your tabletops.
Atlanta Peach Movers only uses full time employees. Here you can see how we will first blanket wrap and then shrink-wrap your couch BEFORE moving it out of the house. ABSOLUTELY NO CASUAL LABOR, NO TEMPS.
Proper packing of a storage vault is vitally important to ensure no damage occurs while the contents are being stored.
Storage vaults are packed with boxes and furniture alike to maximize space and create a tight fit so no shifting occurs.

How much does it cost (roughly) to have a company, with a few guys, and a big truck, come out and move all of my things, preferably in one trip? Would you recommend using a moving company, or just doing it all myself? I'm trying to move, as quickly and painlessly as possible. Also, how do I go about finding a roommate? I'm getting a 2 bedroom, and although I can fit the bills on my own, I want to share the bills and have some company as well. Where can I look to find a decent roommate, preferably female who's a student. I'm new to these things, such as apartment renting and roommates. But I'm excited! Any advice or tips would be greatly appreciated.

Hello all,
I was wondering if I need to tip the guys that will be removing extraneous items from my home later this week. I am moving and have a lot of junk furniture and whatnot, and made an appointment for a company called 'eco-haul' to move all my stuff out. It's a lot of stuff, including furniture and household goods. I know moving guys get tips, but wondering what to do in this situation.

This is the first time my husband and I are moving without the help of movers. We are moving in about two weeks. Questions are.. 1. Where do you get the boxes and whatever you use to wrap stuff in? 2. Moving stuff like dressers, bed frame, mattresses? Any tips? 3. Best truck rental company? Any other tips are greatly appreciated, I need all the help I can get. Thanks!!

I hired a moving company to pick up one item and drive it 7 miles to my home. They charged me $180.
The treadmill that they will be moving weights 400 pounds and there will be four guys to pick it up. What's a good tip for all of them?

Ok I'm pretty straight forward and don't like hidden prices. I sure don't like being taken advantage of when some movers take and move your stuff but then ask for additional money to release or move it into the new location. I want to move my own items from Florida to Maryland. and also on anther trip from Boston to Maryland. Can someone give me some company's and tips for self truck rentals.

I'm an 18 year old female moving to California in about 6 months. I wanted to rent a studio apartment, and get a data entry job. I don't have very much experience, but I can type 8500 kph which is way over what most companies require, or just right. Would I be safe living in a studio apartment, by myself, riding public transit, and the occasional taxi cab to get my groceries / pay bills? I have an uncle there, and my dad passes through on his truck runs (semi truck) but I would be basically on my own. I wanted to move there, and work there for a year to garin my residency, and then attend college. I'm not very big. I'm only 5' 1. Would I be targeted a lot? Would it be reasonable to think that I could safely ride the bus to and from work, if my apartment was on the bus lines? I just want some general tips, and answers to some of my questions. Please no answers with just no you can't, or I don't know.
I'm moving from Montana, to LA, and have never lived in the big city before. I have been reading a lot about Los Angeles, and I know how huge it is, and how expensive it is, I'm just looking for safety tips. And also would 12 – 14 dollars an hour be enough to support me in an 700-950 dollar a month apartment?

The moving company will charge about $110 per hour for the move. It is customary to tip the movers also. What is appropriate?

My mom has flipped any time in the past that I've talked about moving out of state. She's a Virginia native and expects me to be a lifer here, too.
My husband and I have talked about moving to Florida and our wishes to do so for many years. We've recently decided to just take our chances and go. We have a condo to move into with GREAT rent very close to the beach. He has an income that won't change (early company buyout with pay and medical benefits) and I can look for a job when we arrive. We saved and will pay the rent a couple months in advance to give me a time buffer for finding job.
The main problem is that my husband and I have her only grandson and he's a little over a year old. She is going to be SO upset. In fact, when I was 7 months pregnant and mentioned that our desire to move to FL hadn't changed and we'd probably move within the next year, she spent 2 days crying and trying to make me feel guilty.
I want to tell her when I pick my son up from her this afternoon (she watches him a couple days a week), but I want it to be quick and not a long, drawn-out discussion.
Any tips? I will be picking him up in 45 minutes.
Thanks!
